Launch the software from the installed location or Go to Start » All Programs » SysTools Virtual Machine Email Recovery
Following screen appears while Clicking on Add File option. Software showing the Two major Virtual machine image file types.
You need to choose single one image type: .vmdk (VMware), .vhd (Virtual Hard Drive) file.
After selection of specific file type then "Browse" .vhd file.
Software gives two Searching Options:
All Drives: This option helps you to search .vmdk or .vhd files accross the Hard Drive.
Specific Drive: Software will search the file from Selected Drive.
As the scanning of the VHD file proceeds, the message will displays: Extraction completed successfully. If you want to save the scan report then choose "Yes" otherwise hit on "No" Option.
All the found EDB files are listed, Check-mark the corresponding box for extraction EDB files. While you choose EDB files for Extraction, Software will scan all the files deeply. If you want to save selective or all, EDB files recovered from the virtual disk on CSV formate then click on "Save Report" option.
Software will also recover permanently deleted EDB mails from VMDK/VHD file.
As the scanning of the Exchange EDB files possessed a dialog box appears confirming success of the scanning process.
As soon as the extraction process is completed a dialog box appears confirming success of the extaction process.
As the extracting of the .vhd file proceeds, all the EDB mailboxes found are listed in tree structure in the left-hand side pane.
Export & Save Exchange EDB Mails
Select single or multiple emails & then right click to Export them into .pst, .msg or .eml & Live Exchange (import to online Microsoft Exchange Server).
Software prompts Exports options dialog Window providing us multiple export choices such as Export As PST/MSG/EML & Import to Live Exchange Mail.
Check the PST Split Box if your PST is Large Size.
A destination location needs to be provided in order to save the Exported EDB files in that location, click on the Browse button to select the path
Destination location where you have save Exported EDB data of Exchange. Check the Box if you want to Ignore System Folders & then click on Export option to initialize the export process.
Track the Export process progress in the following window with details such as Folders, Item Count & Destination Path which provides information about the current file(s) getting exported.
An Alert Message Window pops up as soon as the Export process gets completed. Click OK to proceed..........
Export Report pops showing the details of the Exported mails. Now click on the SAVE option to save the report as CSV format.
Alternatively you can explicitly Export multiple EDB mailboxes by clicking on the Export button located on the top menu baar.
- Now Follow the Steps for Exporting Folders:
- Select Folder: Select the folder (mails, contact, calendar etc.) which is required to export.
- Export As: Select from the file type PST, MSG & EML & Live Exchange Server.
- Split PST: If the PST is selected then large sized PST file can be splitted with this option.
- Browse Destination: Select destination location for saving the exported files.
View the Export process with the listed details to get an overview of the contents getting exported.
Upon completion, the software pops a message window indicating the completion of the Export process. Click OK to proceed further.
An Export Report is prepared by the software containing the details of the exported mailboxes and the location where they are getting saved. Click on the SAVE button to save the Report as CSV.
Browse the location where you want to save the "Export Report". Click on the Save button to proceed further.
Now you can verify the data exported after using Virtual Machine Email Recovery.
To open an Outlook PST file Open Outlook » File » Open » Outlook Data File and then select the file from its saved location.
