Every Mac with Apple silicon is going to have this ability. Starting from the  MacBook Air with a four-year-old M1 chip to the top-of-the-line Mac Studio. Even Intel-based Mac computers with a T2 Security Chip can check out the macOS 15 Sequoia update.

The genmoji tool part of messages can be used to create never-seen-before emojis right on your device. Describe what you want and witness the magic of macOS Sequoia to make unique and expressive icons. Use these to liven up your conversations.

The clean-up tool in the Photos App can be used to retouch old photos and fix any errors that appear on your images. Remove unwanted objects from your photos. It also has the ability to select a set of photos and videos to craft memories from just a user description.

Boost Productivity with All New Apple Operating System 

Continuity is what Apple calls it. This iPhone mirroring option lets users control their Apple mobile from their Mac. A full 1:1 interface of your iPhone gets replicated on your Mac’s screen. Everything from app interaction to reading notifications can be done from the computer. The mouse (or trackpad) and keyboard work natively within the iPhone interface, even if it is locked. MacOS Sequoia simplifies window management with the new Tiling feature. Simply drag an active window to the edge of your screen, and your Mac will automatically suggest the best tiling position for that window. Either side by side or in the corners.

Safari Improves Internet Browsing on Mac

Highlights and Reader apps are now built into every Safari app on the new MacOS Sequoia. Use it to get the gist of the website you are visiting. 

The Reader can summarise and add a table of contents to articles that are missing one. Thus improving the navigation and overall browsing experience on Mac.   

Additional Features of the Yet-to-Release Mac Operating System

  • Notes app with auto transcription and Mtahs notes can solve equations. 
  • The calculator now matches the iPhone version and includes a history of all past calculations. 
  • The calendar integrates reminders and events and gives an overview of all registered tasks.
  • Password app now uses iCloud to synchronize all passwords, passkeys, etc across your Apple devices and even Windows PCs.
  • Sequoia combines Metal 3 with Apple silicon, allowing for a comprehensive gaming experience never seen before on a Mac.
  • Some features, like map hiking, are only available in certain geographies, like North America. 

How to Try Mac OS 15 Before it Releases?

Even though macOS 15 Sequoia begins its official rollout in the fall of 2024, you can still get early access with some technical assistance. However, don’t forget to prepare an iCloud backup on Mac and only then try to experiment with the features before they are released in September. 

To do that, here are the steps.

  • Use your Apple ID and sign up for the Apple Developer Program.
  • After registration is complete, you can download the macOS Sequoia beta from the Apple Developer website.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the beta on your Mac
