Procedure to convert Outlook MAC OLM File to PST, MBOX, HTML, CSV, vCard, Office 365, EML or MSG formats using Outlook MAC Exporter
After downloading the software, start the installation process. You can select any language from the list (English, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, Deutsch, Italian, Russian, Indonesian, Netherland, Danish, Hungarian, Norwegian, Polish, Swedish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Czech, Thai) as per your requirement.
Go to Start » All Programs » SysTools® Outlook MAC Exporter » The first window of the software will appear:
Browse to specify the OLM file source location & then click on Open button to add the OLM file to the software.
Click on Add File to initiate the file scanning process.
5(a) The Advance Scan option is used to initiate the file scanning process from a scratch. It imports the corrupted file or unreadeble file in to readable format.
*To import olm file from Advance Scan Option Click Advance Scan then browse the olm file and Click Add
*The olm file has been imported Click Yes to save the scan process.
5(b) If you have large size OLM file then choose Browse Extracted Folder option. But before this you have to ZIP and Extract the OLM file.
* Click the Browse Extented Folder and select the path of a olm folder and click Add.
After clicking on the Add File button, software initializes OLM File Scanning process and displays progress of the process with file name, size and time stamp details.
Scanning process is complete. Click on Yes if you want to save the scanned results as per convenience.
As soon as the OLM file scanning process completes, you can "Preview" the data in various view modes.
The Left Panel of the software displays existing folders in the source OLM file. All data items can be previewed on the software interface as follows:
Normal Mail View: Select a particular Email to get a Normal Mail View of the e-mail data at the bottom pane.
Hex: Display data in hexadecimal format
Properties: Properties displays the additional information and other details of a selected emails.
Message Header: Display Message Header file information of selected email.
MIME: Display information in Internet standard that extends the format of a email.
HTML: Preview selected email in HTML file format
Attachments: Preview Attachments present inside a particular email by clicking on the Attachments tab. It displays the list of attachments along with details present in the same & upon selection.
Now you can view all the folders and mailbox items. There are tabs: Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Notes, and Folder list in the left side of the window.
Simply click on any of the category options and view its data.
While the "PST" radio button is selected, Click on the "Advanced settings" button as shown below:
Now, Provide the following settings:
Once the settings have been specified, click on the "save" button.
Click OK when a pop-up message: Settings saved successfully' appears.
On the previous menu, Click on the "Browse" button to provide destination folder to save the resultant file(s).
The Path of the file selected will be displayed in the corresponding text box to the "Browse" button.
Check "Maintain Folder Hierarchy" option to have same order of folders (with same name) as in source file in the resultant PST file generated.
Select the "Ignore System Folders" option to prevent unnecessary folders and files to get migrated.
Click on "Export" button to save the items in PST file format.
Once the export process is complete, Then the following message would be prompted. Click on "OK".
The following window will show the success as well as fail count as follows:
Now, specify the location where the CSV file can be saved. And click on the "Save" button.
The following prompt will be generated as follows as the report is saved successfully. Press OK.
Now, you can preview the Export Report of the whole process in the CSV file from the proposed destination location.
Click on the "MSG" Radio button and click on the "Advanced Settings" button.
Now, You can provide various advanced settings:
Once, You have specified all the settings, Click on the "Save" button.
Click OK when a pop-up message: Settings saved successfully' appears.
Now, Navigate to the required destination location folder to save the MSG file.
Click on the "OK" button.
The address location (path) of the selected destination folder will be displayed in the corresponding textbox of "Browse" button.
Check "Maintain Folder Hierarchy" option to maintain same order of folders (with same name) as in source file (OLM) in the resultant MSG file generated.
Tick the box against 'Ignore System Folders' to avoid unnecessary files from getting added.
Click on "Export" button to save the previewed items in MSG file format.
Once the export process is complete, Then the following message would be prompted. Click on "OK".
The Export Report will be generated showing the details of Export process.
The Export Report will be generated showing the success and fail count for the export process.
Click on the "Save" Button to Save Export Report in the CSV file format.
Now, Specify the location where the CSV file can be saved. And click on the "Save" button.
The following prompt will be generated as follows as the report is saved successfully. Press OK.
Now, You can preview the Export Report of the whole process in the CSV file from the proposed destination location.
Preview the generated MSG file in the Destination location
The generated Folder will contain all folders(Hierarchy) as that in source file
Click on the "EML" Radio button and click on the "Advanced Settings" button.
On the Advanced settings you can specify the settings for EML file conversion:
Once the settings are specified. Click on the "Save" button.
Click OK when a pop-up message: Settings saved successfully' appears.
Now, Navigate to the required destination location folder to save the EML file.
Click on the "OK" button.
The address location (path) of the selected destination folder will be displayed in the corresponding textbox of "Browse" button.
Check "Maintain Folder Hierarchy" option to maintain same order of folders (with same name) as in source OLM file in the resultant EML file generated.
Click on the 'Ignore System Folders' option to prevent unrequired files from loading.
Click on "Export" button to save the previewed items in MSG file format.
Once the export process is complete, Then the following message would be prompted. Click on "OK".
The Export Report will be generated showing the details of Export process.
The Export Report will be generated showing the success and fail count for the export process.
Click on the "Save" Button to Save Export Report in the CSV file format.
Now, Specify the location where the CSV file can be saved. And click on the "Save" button.
The following prompt will be generated as follows as the report is saved successfully. Press OK.
Now, You can preview the Export Report of the whole process in the CSV file from the proposed destination location.
Here, you can see the Original File Path and Relocated File Path Details during Export process from the CSV file Created.
Preview the generated EML file in the Destination location
The generated Folder will contain the Inbox (EML is only for Emails) folder as that in the source file
Click on the "PDF" Radio button and click on the "Advanced Settings" button.
On the Advanced settings you can specify the settings for PDF file conversion, the software gives 3 different tabs for arranging your PDF file efficiently.
In General Settings option you will get the following settings.
You can check the option: Include Internet Message Header to add header information of each email message in the resultant PDF file created.
In Page Layout option you will get the following settings.
You can choose Landscape or Portrait in Page Orientation and A3, A4, Letter for Page size as per requirement.
In Bates Number option you will get the following settings.
Once, You have specified all the settings, Click on the "Save" button.
Click OK when a pop-up message: Settings saved successfully' appears.
Now, Navigate to the required destination location folder to save the PDF file.
Click on the "OK" button.
The address location (path) of the selected destination folder will be displayed in the corresponding text box of "Browse" button.
Check "Maintain Folder Hierarchy" option to maintain same order of folders (with same name) as in source OLM file in the resultant PDF file generated. Check "Ignore System Folders" to avoid converting unnecessary system files.
Then, click on the 'Export' option to proceed further.
Once the export process is complete, Then the following message would be prompted. Click on "OK".
The Export Report will be generated showing the details of Export process.
The Export Report will be generated showing the success and fail count for the export process.
Click on the "Save" Button to Save Export Report in the CSV file format.
Now, Specify the location where the CSV file can be saved. And click on the "Save" button.
The following prompt will be generated as follows as the report is saved successfully. Press OK.
Now, You can preview the Export Report of the whole process in the CSV file from the proposed destination location.
Preview the generated PDF file in the Destination location
The generated Folder will contain all folders (Hierarchy) as that in source file
Click on the "MBOX" Radio button and click on the "Advanced Settings" button.
On the Advanced settings you can specify the settings for MBOX file conversion:
Date Filter Option: This refers to specifying the from date and to date to perform customized export for the files.
Once the settings are specified. Click on the "Save" button.
Click OK when a pop-up message: Settings saved successfully' appears.
Now, navigate to the destination where you have stored your OLM files.
Click on the "OK" button.
The address location (path) of the selected destination folder will be displayed in the corresponding textbox of "Browse" button.
Check "Maintain Folder Hierarchy" option to maintain same order of folders (with same name) as in source OLM file in the resultant MBOX file generated.
Check the box saying 'Ignore System Folders' to prevent loading of folders not required by you.
Click on "Export" button to save the previewed items in MSG file format.
Once the export process is complete, Then the following message would be prompted. Click on "OK".
The Export Report will be generated showing the details of Export process.
The Export Report will be generated showing the success and fail count for the export process.
Click on the "Save" Button to Save Export Report in the CSV file format.
Now, Specify the location where the CSV file can be saved. And click on the "Save" button.
The following prompt will be generated as follows as the report is saved successfully. Press OK.
Now, You can preview the Export Report of the whole process in the CSV file from the proposed destination location.

Click on the "HTML" Radio button and click on the "Advanced Settings" button.
On the Advanced settings you can specify the settings for HTML file conversion:
Now, You can provide various advanced settings:
Once the settings are specified. Click on the "Save" button.
Click OK when a pop-up message: Settings saved successfully' appears.
Now, navigate to the required destination location to pick the file.
Click on the "OK" button.
The address location (path) of the selected destination folder will be displayed in the corresponding textbox of "Browse" button.
Check "Maintain Folder Hierarchy" option to maintain same order of folders (with same name) as in source OLM file in the resultant HTML file generated.
Tick the box against 'Ignore System Folders' to avoid loading files that are not required.
Click on "Export" button to save the resultant file.
Once the export process is complete, Then the following message would be prompted. Click on "OK".
The Export Report will be generated showing the details of Export process.
The Export Report will be generated showing the success and fail count for the export process.
Click on the "Save" Button to Save Export Report in the CSV file format.
Now, Specify the location where the CSV file can be saved. And click on the "Save" button.
The following prompt will be generated as follows as the report is saved successfully. Press OK.
Now, You can preview the Export Report of the whole process in the CSV file from the proposed destination location.
Here, you can see the list of the HTML files created.
Click on the "CSV" Radio button and click on the "Advanced Settings" button.
On the Advanced settings you can specify the settings for CSV file conversion:
Naming Convention: You can select the naming convention for the final converted files such as subject, subject + date, etc.
Once the settings are specified. Click on the "Save" button.
Click OK when a pop-up message: 'Settings saved successfully' appears.
Now, Navigate to the required destination location folder to save the CSV file.
Click on the "OK" button.
The address location (path) of the selected destination folder will be displayed in the corresponding textbox of "Browse" button.
Check "Maintain Folder Hierarchy" option to maintain same order of folders (with same name) as in source OLM file in the resultant CSV file generated.
You can also choose to Ignore System Folders to avoid loading unwanted folders.
Click on "Export" button to save the previewed items in MSG file format.
Once the export process is complete, Then the following message would be prompted. Click on "OK".
The Export Report will be generated showing the details of Export process.
The Export Report will be generated showing the success and fail count for the export process.
Click on the "Save" Button to Save Export Report in the CSV file format.
Now, specify the location where the CSV file can be saved. And click on the "Save" button.
The following prompt will be generated as follows as the report is saved successfully. Press OK.
Now, you can preview the Export Report of the whole process in the CSV file from the proposed destination location.
Here, you can see the Original File Path and Relocated File Path Details during Export process from the CSV file Created.
Now, Navigate to the required destination location folder to save the vCard file.
Click on the "OK" button.
The address location (path) of the selected destination folder will be displayed in the corresponding textbox of "Browse" button.
Tick the'Maintain Folder Hierarchy' option to maintain the entire structure of your files.
Check "Merger Contacts in to single vCard" option to maintain all the imported contacts into one file
You can also choose to Ignore System Folders to prevent unwanted files from loading.
Click on the "Export" button to begin the export process.
Once the export process is complete, Then the following message would be prompted. Click on "OK".
The Export Report will be generated showing the success and fail count for the export process.
Click on the "Save" Button to Save Export Report in the CSV file format.
Now, Specify the location where the CSV file can be saved. And click on the "Save" button.
The following prompt will be generated as follows as the report is saved successfully. Press OK.
Preview the generated vCard file in the Destination location
The generated Folder will contain the Inbox (vCard is only for Contacts) folder as that in the source file
SysTools Outlook Mac Exporter provides multiple options to migrate files to Office 365. This features is extremely useful in moving large amount of data like in organizations.
Enter Destination Mailbox with Impersonation
Here, you can Apply Impersonation to give the permission to any one account to migrate the data to other mailboxes of the same domain without needing their passwords.
Click on "Enter Destination Mailbox" from the export option. Then, select "Advanced Settings".
Now, provide the ID along with its password that you impersonated. The details you enter will be validated.
From the left menu, click on 'General Settings' and apply the filters as required. Once done, click on the save button to successfully update your settings.
You will be taken back to this window where you have to select the Next button.
Under the "Office 365 Account Name" column, enter your destination mailbox. This will validate this account and then you have to click on "Export".
Note: Make sure you have assigned licence to the respective destination mailboxes.
Now, skip to Step 14 to proceed further.
Enter Destination Mailbox without Impersonation
Here, you will have to enter the password of all the destination mailboxes.
Click on "Enter Destination Mailbox" from the export option and click on 'Next'.
Now, enter the destination mailbox and the account password. The tool will now validate your account. Then, click on the 'Export' button.
Skip to Step 14 to proceed further.
Provide Destination via CSV
This software provides you an option to migrate the data using a CSV file. This file shall contain: File Path, Source Mailbox Name, Destination Mailbox Name, Password.
Select the option "Provide destination Office 365 Account from CSV".
Click on the browse button to pick the CSV file containing the destination mailboxes.
The path of the file will be displayed.
Choose to maintain the folder hierarchcy by checking the box next to it.
Check the box next to "Ignore System Folders" to avoid loading unnecessary folders from your system.
Click on the Next button.
In the next screen, give the destination mailbox and its password. The details will be validated by the software. After that, click on "Export".
After the completion of the process, it will display an export report showing the success and failure count. You can save this data for future purposes by clicking on Save.
