How to Merge AOL PFC File

— Here My Story Goes —

I found out that I have two AOL save PFC folders on my system. One is stored in My Documents and another file is located on C drive. More than one folder of PFC file is present because of the versions of AOL desktop email client that is reinstalled/upgraded to newer version such as one PFC file saved in 07 version and other in 09 version. I want to ask if there is any way to merge the two PFC files. The default location of the AOL user's data is
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AOL\Version\organize\username
I want to merge both the PFC files together. Please suggest me a solution

Steps to Merge AOL PFC Files

Following are the detailed steps for combining emails of Multiple PFC Files together

Step 1 The first step is to get offline from the AOL Desktop application using Sign Off option.

Step 2 Click Start, type 'sinf' in the search box and enter

Step 3 A window will be opened displaying the system information, click on AOL Software to check the AOL System information. Select Open Data Folder to open the location of the PFC file in the system.

Step 4 Search for Organize Folder and double-click on it

Step 5 Inside the Organize Folder, we will search for the username of the AOL account created. Right-click the username file that has no extension and click Copy.

Step 6 Paste the file and rename it as the same username with an extension of PFC. i.e. filename » filename.pfc & Launch the AOL software without signing in.

Click on File Menu and click Open to locate the file we have copied and pasted from Organize folder.

Step 7 Click on File Menu and then Mail saved on my PC(Filling Cabinet)

Step 8 Click on Setup Folders to create a new Folder and select Create Folder. Type a new name of the folder, click save and OK

Step 9 Drag the emails from the old PFC to the icon of the folder that was just created. i.e. newbackup folder

Step 10 A window will be opened displaying successfully moved email to the new folder.
