Learn to use MS Teams ReOrganizer to split and merge Teams channels and members.
Pre-Requisites:
The app opens up on its own with a list of all available Teams where you are the owner.
You can Click on Present Button to share the App in live MS Teams meeting.

You can use these optional settings for creating a seperate window ouside of your main Teams app, Reset app to the main screen, Visit the official app webpage, and check the About section, respectively.
Step by Step Procedure to Split a Team
In SysTools ReOrganizer, select any one team you wish to split and hit the "Prepare Split" icon.
A dialog box titled "Number of splits to create" is open. There type out the number of splits or use the arrow keys to get to the exact number (max 4, min 2). Then hit Continue to move on to the Next step.
Note: The Cancel button will take you back to the main screen.
On the Next screen, you can see an automatic distribution of new teams the number is the one you chose previously.
By default, every row has two Teams. However, this can be changed with the help of the dropdown top right corner of your screen.
This app appends a number at the end of every team’s name for easier distinction. Inside each sub-Team, you can assign the members by clicking on their names.
The Search bar allows you to find the members. You can use Select All to choose every member at once. The Clear selection button is also present to do-over the member selection again.
The Create button at the top right of every split can only be used once both member and channel selection is complete. The Discard button allows admins to remove the particular split from the operation.
Once Member selection is complete toggle the Channels tab. There You can see every channel in the parent Team with an unmarked check box in front of its name.
The channel level member selection is not present in the case of General and Standard type channels.
The Shared and Private channels allow you to pick the members from the original list. Only those members who are part of the parent's private/shared channel can be put in the child no new members are allowed.
Note: The Channel members must be selected to be a part of the Team under the member column. In case you missed a member the tool puts out a prompt for the same.
The tool after both member and channel selections are complete click on Create. This opens a pop-up window where you have to enter the Team name, Team mail nickname (both mandatory), and Team description(optional).
Fill in the details.
You can click on the Verify button to check whether or not the chosen team is available for use.
Take a look at the Member
and Channel tabs to double-check the selection.
Click the Create icon at the bottom right corner. A team Creation popup appears the completed steps are shown in Green with a tick mark next to them, the ongoing steps are in Yellow and the failed steps appear in Red with a cross next to them.
Go back to ReOrganizer Split Screen home page and repeat the steps for the rest of the splits one by one.
You can discard any excess spits.
Step by Step Procedure to Merge Two Teams
Select any two Teams of any variety (Private/Public/Organization-wide) and hit the Create new team from selected teams.
Note: No More than Two Teams can be selected at a time. You will recieve a Warning Popup upon (>2) selection.
The Main Merger Screen contains the names of the two teams you are about to merge in the top left corner. They have a specific color assigned to each of them. On the right side of the same parallel, you can see the Close button.
In the New Team Box, the Members tab is open by default with the channel tab also available for selection.
Like in the Split operation admins can also select all members at once with the help of the Select All button. Moreover, the Clear selection button allows for a do-over.
Go to the Channels tab and mark the box next to the channel name you wish to include in the merged entity.
Note: If both teams have channels with the same name, the channel type of the first team is used.
The channel level member selection is not present in the case of General and Standard type channels.

After Member, Channel, and Channel Member Selection Click on Create. A new Box opens.
There you can put the Required Team name, Team mail nickname (both mandatory), and Team description(optional).
Click on Verify to see weather or not the name you choose is free to use. Perform this for Team name and Team mail nickname.
Then go to the Members Tab to check the member list.
Repeat the checking process for Channels in its respective tab.
Press Create this puts forth a Team Creation window indicating the current step of the process.
The Completed steps are shown in Green with a tick mark next to them, the ongoing steps are in Yellow and the failed steps (if any) appear in Red with a cross next to them.
A green Completed text indicates the successful process. Close the box and return to the Main ReOrganizer screen.
