Here, we will focus on the method to import WSDEML files to Outlook 2019, 2016, or 2013 in bulk. But, before we move onto the conversion method, take a minute to consider a few things beforehand.
Things You Should Consider Before Importing WDSEML to Outlook
Know that a WDSEML file is only a partial copy of your actual email message. They do not contain the data visible on your Thunderbird application. So, if you actually want to import Thunderbird emails to Outlook, then importing the WDSEML file is not the right way.
Mozilla Thunderbird stores its actual email messages in an MBOX mailbox file. It is a no-extension file having the same name as the mailbox it represents. For eg: the INBOX mailbox file contains all the emails you see in your Thunderbird Inbox folder. So, you will need to process these files if you want to move the ‘real’ emails.
WDSEML file is only useful when you wish to search for specific Thunderbird message content directly from your Windows search panel. It loses its significance in MS Outlook.
Furthermore, the WDSEML file does not have any attachments. So, don’t expect attachments in the output emails in Outlook after importing these files.
