Steps to enable IMAP:

  1. On your computer, open Gmail
  2. In the top right, click Settings and then See all settings

  5. Click Save Changes.

If 2 step Authentication is enabled then follow the steps to disable the 2-step authentication:

  1. Open your Google Account

  3. In the "Security" section, select 2-Step Verification. You might need to sign in

  4. Select Turn off
  5. A pop-up window will appear to confirm that you want to turn off 2-Step Verification. Select Turn off.

Yahoo offers free, direct IMAP access for all Yahoo mail users. So, there’s nothing to setup on your mail account.

If 2 step Authentication is enabled then follow the steps to disable the 2-step authentication:

  1. Sign in to your My Account page
  2. Under Account Security

  5. Enter the Code and click Verify as above.

Generate or Manage App Password:

  1. Sign in to your Yahoo Account Security page
  2. Click Generate app password or Generate and manage app passwords
  3. Enter your App's name in the text field
  4. Click Generate password
  5. Click Done.
    Note: Once you have created and entered an app password for a given app or device, you usually won't need to do it again.

Steps to Turn on Less Secure App:

  1. Sign in to Yahoo Mail
  2. Go to your "Account security" settings
  3. Turn on Allow apps that use less secure sign in.

Hotmail IMAP access is default enabled for all users. So, there’s nothing to setup on your webmail account.

If 2 step Authentication is enabled then follow the steps to disable the 2-step authentication:

  1. Go to Security settings and Sign in with your Microsoft account

  2. Under the Two-step verification section, choose Set up two-step verification to turn it ON, or choose Turn OFF two-step verification to turn it off.

Generate App Password:

  1. Go to the Security basics page and sign in to your Microsoft account
  2. Select More security options:
    a.) Under App passwords, select Create a new app password. A new app password is generated and appears on your screen
    b.) Enter this app password where you would enter your normal Microsoft account password in the application.
    Note: Once you have created and entered an app password for a given app or device, you usually won't need to do it again.

Steps to Turn on Less Secure App:

  1. Go to the "Less secure apps" section in My Account
  2. Next to "Access for less secure apps", select Turn on.

Steps to enable IMAP:

  1. Click File > Info > Add account

  3. Click Advanced options and check the box for Let me set up my account manually

  6. Use the following settings:
    a.) Incoming mail: Server imap.mail.com with port 993 and check the option This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS)
    b.) Outgoing mail: Server smtp.mail.com with port 587 and the encryption method STARTTLS

  7. Click Connect
  8. A login dialog will appear
  9. Enter your e-mail-address and your password, check Save the password in your password list and click OK.

Outlook email client will now sync with your email account.

If 2 step Authentication is enabled then follow the steps to disable the 2-step authentication:

  1. Go to Security settings and Sign in with your Microsoft account
  2. Under the Two-step verification section, choose Set up two-step verification to turn it ON, or choose Turn OFF two-step verification to turn it off.

AOL IMAP access is default enabled for all users. So, there’s nothing to setup on your webmail account.

If 2 step Authentication is enabled then follow the steps to disable the 2-step authentication:

  1. Sign in to your AOl account.
  2. Now,click on the Account Security page and then select 2-Step Verification option.

Use App password to login:

  1. Sign in and go to the AOL Account Security page
  2. Click Generate app password or Manage app passwords
  3. Select your app from the drop down menu and click Generate
  4. Follow the instructions below the password
    "Be sure to enter the password into your app without any spaces"
  5. Click Done
  6. Use this app password and your email address to sign in to your email app.

Note: Remove an app password - Click Manage app passwords and then click the Delete icon to stop using an app password.

Steps to Turn on Less Secure App:

  1. Sign in to your Account Information page
  2. Click Account Security
  3. Turn on Allow apps that use less secure sign in.

Steps to enable IMAP:

  1. Select the All settings (⚙) in Yandex.Mail's top navigation bar
  2. Choose All settings in the menu that appears
  3. Now, select Account management on the page where you arrive

If 2 step Authentication is enabled then follow the steps to disable the 2-step authentication:

  1. Go to the Manage Account page
  2. In the Passwords and Authorization section, click Disable
  3. On the page that opens, enter a one-time password from Yandex
  4. If the password is entered correctly, you will be able to set a new regular password for your account.

All application passwords that you created get reset in the following cases:

  • You change a password (with two-factor authentication disabled)
  • You enable or disable two-factor authentication
  • You restored access to your account by yourself or with the help of our support staff
  • You followed the Log out on all devices link on the Account management page.

You can control whether third-party apps can access your account using app passwords. Once app passwords disable you can uer our software without limitations.

iCloud IMAP access is default enabled for all users. Just configured iCloud email account with automatic setup.

If 2 step Authentication is enabled then follow the steps to disable the 2-step authentication:

  1. In a web browser, sign into your Apple ID page
  2. In the Security section, make sure it says that "Two-Step Verification" is on

  4. Click "Turn Off Two-Step Verification". Click again to confirm this is what you want to do.

Steps to remove iCloud app password:

  1. Sign in to your Apple ID account page
  2. In the Security section, click Edit
  3. In the App Specific Passwords section, click View History
  4. Click Next to a password you want to Delete or Revoke All.

Steps to enable IMAP:

  1. Sign into Office Admin Portal via http://portal.office.com
  2. From the Microsoft 365 admin center dashboard, go to Admin > Exchange
  3. Navigate to Recipients > Mailboxes
  4. Select the user for which you want to enable or disable POP3 or IMAP, and then click Edit icon
  5. In the User Mailbox dialog box, in the console tree, click Mailbox Features
  6. Under Email Connectivity, Enable or Disable POP3 or IMAP
  7. Click Save.

If 2 step Authentication is enabled then follow the steps to disable the 2-step authentication:

  1. Go to Security Settings and sign in with your Microsoft account
  2. Under the Two-step Verification section, choose Set up two-step verification to turn it on, or choose Turn off two-step verification to turn it off.

Steps to delete app password:

  1. Sign in to the Additional Security Verification page, and then select App Passwords
  2. On the App Passwords page, select Delete next to the app password you want to delete
  3. Select Yes to confirm you want to delete the password, and then select Close. The app password is successfully deleted.

Steps to Turn on Less Secure App:

  1. In the Admin Center, go to the Settings > Org settings > Services page, and then select User consent to apps
  2. On the User consent to apps page, select the option to turn user consent on or off.

Steps to enable IMAP:

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console
  2. Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com)
  3. From the Admin Console Home page, go to Apps >> Google Workspace >> Gmail >> End User Access
    Tip: To see End User Access, scroll to the bottom of the Gmail page
  4. Select the Organizational Unit you want to configure settings for. If you want to configure settings for everyone, select the top-level unit. Or, select one of the child organizational units
  5. Scroll to POP and IMAP access. You can turn on POP, IMAP, or both
  6. To enable POP access, check the Enable POP access for all users box
  7. To enable IMAP access, check the Enable IMAP access for all users box
  8. If you enabled IMAP in Step 6, select an option for allowed email clients:
    a.)Allow any mail client: Any IMAP email client can sync with Gmail
    b.)Restrict which mail clients users can use (OAuth mail clients only): Limit the third-party email clients that can sync with Gmail. With this option, users can sync only with clients you specify. Important: This option doesn’t support third-party email clients that use domain-wide delegation through a service account. Learn more about domain-wide delegation and service accounts.
  9. If you selected the Restrict which mail clients... option in Step 7, enter the OAuth IDs of allowed email clients in the Comma separated list of OAuth client IDs field. To add more than one client, separate OAuth IDs with a comma
  10. Repeat these steps for each organizational unit where you want to turn on POP or IMAP
  11. Click Save changes.

It can take up to 24 hours for POP and IMAP changes to take effect.

If 2 step Authentication is enabled then follow the steps to disable the 2-step authentication:

  1. Open your Google Account
  2. In the "Security" section, select 2-Step Verification. You might need to sign in
  3. Select Turn off
  4. A pop-up window will appear to confirm that you want to turn off 2-Step Verification. Select Turn off.

Steps to Create and use App Passwords:

  1. Go to your Google Account
  2. Select Security
  3. Under "Signing in to Google", select App Passwords. You may need to sign in. If you don’t have this option, it might be because:
    a.) 2-Step Verification is not set up for your account
    b.) 2-Step Verification is only set up for security keys
    c.) Your account is through work, school, or other organization
    d.) You turned on Advanced Protection
  4. At the bottom, choose Select app and choose the app you using and then Select device and choose the device you’re using and then Generate
  5. Follow the instructions to enter the App Password. The App Password is the 16-character code in the yellow bar on your device
  6. Tap Done.

Tip: Most of the time, you’ll only have to enter an App Password once per app or device, so don’t worry about memorizing it.

Steps to Turn on Less Secure App:

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin Console
    Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com)
  2. From the Admin Console Home page, go to Security >> Less secure apps
  3. To apply the setting to everyone, leave the top organizational unit selected. Otherwise, select a child organizational unit or a configuration group
  4. Select the setting for less secure apps:
    a.) Disable access to less secure apps (Recommended)
    Users can’t turn on access to less secure apps.
    When you disable access to less secure apps while a less secure app has an open connection with a user account, the app will time out when it tries to refresh the connection. Timeout periods vary per app.
    b.) Allow users to manage their access to less secure apps
    Users can turn on or turn off access to less secure apps
  5. Click Save.

Steps to enable IMAP:

  1. Login to Zoho Mail
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Navigate to Mail Accounts and click the respective email address from the left listing
  4. Under the IMAP section, check the IMAP Access box

  5. You can also Enable Auto-Expunge and Configure Folder Settings.

If 2 step Authentication is enabled then follow the steps to disable the 2-step authentication:

  1. Click on your profile in the top right corner of the screen
  2. Click on "My Account"
  3. Choose "Two Factor Authentication" from the menu

Generating Application-Specific Password:

  1. Login to Zoho Accounts
  2. From the left menu, navigate to Security and click App passwords
  3. Click Generate New Password
  4. You will be asked to give a name the name of your application for future reference. Enter the name and click Generate
  5. Your password will be generated and you can be used to login from one application.

Note: The device-specific password will be displayed only once and will be not be displayed again.

Steps to Turn on Less Secure App by Gmail:

  1. Open your Google Admin console (admin.google.com)
  2. Click Security > Basic settings
  3. Under Less secure apps, select Go to Settings for less secure apps
  4. In the subwindow, select the Enforce access to less secure apps for all users radio button
  5. Click the Save button.

Steps to Turn on Less Secure App by Yahoo:

  1. Sign in to Yahoo Mail
  2. Go to your "Account security" settings
  3. Turn on Allow apps that use less secure sign in.
