A step by step guide to show you how to view Exchange Server Transaction Log Files and export it into PDF,MSG, EML or HTML File Format.
Run the Exchange Log Analyzer & "Add File" button to select the Exchange Server log file to be analyzed.
Click on Select file radio button to add the files >> Click on "..." to select the files >> Click On Add Button
As soon as you click on the Add button to add the files, the software starts the scanning process & displays the current scanned information.
Open & Run the Exchange Log Analyzer Tool. Click on Start » Search Exchange Log Analyzer Tool » Launch SysTools Exchange Log Analyzer Software.
This will show you the First Preview Window of the Application.
To add the file, Click on Select File Radio Button >> Click "..." to select the file >> Click "Add".
Alternatively, The file can also be added by clicking on the Search file radio button. Search file option can add files with two methods: Search All Drive and Search Selected Drive. When you click on Search All drive Radio Button >> Click on "..." to browse the location of the storage folder of the file and click on "Search".
After adding the file, a message will prompt on the screen "Search Completed Successfully" >> Click OK.
Now again you can preview all the search items of a particular drive along with the File Path and File size.
Now the Software will start the scanning process and will display the current scanned status of the files .
Now you can view all the items within the Exchange Server Transaction Log File.
Normal Mail View: Select a particular Email to get a Normal Mail View of the e-mail data at the bottom pane.
Attachments: Preview the Attachments present inside a particular email by clicking on the Attachments tab. It displays the list of attachments along with details present in the same & upon selection, the attachment is previewed on the bottom right corner.
You can switch the display pane in two ways to get a better view of the email data details such as Horizontal & Vertical View. By default, the email data is displayed in Horizontal View.
Click on PDF radio button to export the Exchange Server Transaction Log Files to PDF format. Click on Advance Settings.
You can configure PDF settings of the software as:
Note: Select the Include Internet Message Header
Click on Save button to save the settings.
Click on Save button to save the settings.
Click on Save button to save the settings.
Choose the desired location. You can also create New folder to save the exported files by clicking on “Make New Folder”. Click on OK button.
Now Export process will start and it will show the exporting folder along with number of Items and destination Path.
A notification appears showing the successful status of the Export process. Click on Ok button to proceed.
Export Report pops showing the details of the Exported mails along with the Long Path and Exported Path.
Click on Save to save the path.
Click on Save to save the path.
Browse the destination location for the Export Report and save the file as CSV file format. Then click on Save button.
Now you can open the Export Report CSV file in MS Excel and view the details of the data exported.
Click on MSG radio button to export the Exchange Server Transaction Log file as Mail Message(.msg) file. Then click on Advance Settings.
Configure MSG Settings as shown:
Click on Save button to save the settings.
Choose the desired location. You can also create New folder to save the exported files by clicking on “Make New Folder”. Click on OK button.
Now Export process will start and it will show the exporting folder along with number of Items and destination Path.
A notification appears showing the successful status of the Export process. Click on Ok button to proceed.
Export Report pops showing the details of the Exported mails along with Source File Name, Success Count, Fail Count also. Now, click on the number in Success Count to view the saved file path.
Click on the Long Path to view the relocated file path. Click on the Save button to save the Export Report.
Browse the destination location for the Export Report and save the file as CSV file format. Then click on Save button.
Now you can open the Export Report CSV file in MS Excel and view the details of the data exported.
Click on EML radio button to export the Exchange Server Transaction Log file as RFC822(.eml) format i.e. applicable only for mails.
Now make EML Settings:
Click on Save button to save the settings.
Choose the desired location. You can also create New folder to save the exported files by clicking on “Make New Folder”. Click on OK button.
Now Export process will start and it will show the exporting folder along with number of Items and destination Path.
A notification appears showing the successful status of the Export process. Click on Ok button to proceed.
