How to Open, Read & Export Unmounted Exchange EDB Files

The below steps are to be followed to see How to Open, View, Scan, Search, and Export EDB files to PDF, PST, MSG, & EML using the advanced Exchange EDB Viewer Pro Plus. Go through this complete guide with images, to know how the software works.

STEP 1

After downloading the software, start the installation process. You can select any language from the list (English, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, Deutsch, Italian, Russian, Indonesian, Netherland, Danish, Hungarian, Norwegian, Polish, Swedish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Czech, Thai) as per your requirement.

Now start by checking all the steps of SysTools Exchange EDB Viewer Pro Plus. Click on Add File button on the menu bar of the software as highlighted in the image below.

You can select or search EDB files by opting the respective option.

STEP 2

Click on Select File button to add the desired EDB file into the software.

Go to the location where your desired files are saved and click on Open button.

Lastly, select decryption options, scanning method, & click on Add button to add the files.

Click on Search File button to search the files into the software. Click Search.

SysTools Exchange EDB Viewer Pro software supports to remove Email Encryptions SMIME and OpenPGP.

  1. SMIME: This encryption type encrypt EDB emails using Certificates.
  2. OpenPGP: This encryption type encrypt emails using Public and Private Keys.

After adding EDB file, the software will show its location. If your EDB file is highly corrupt, then check the Advance Scan option.

STEP 4

Click on Add to move further.

Scanning of the selected file completed successfully message prompts. Users can also save the scanned file to load files quickly next time.

The added files will then be displayed at your screen.

Users can switch the view from horizontal and vertical and choose different viewing modes

Click on the "Search" option to search scanned files.

Now, finally Click either on "Export" or "Export Selected" button to proceed.

Export File as PDF Format

After clicking the "Export button" the software will display various file formats. Select "PDF."

Click on Adv Settings to apply filters in order to convert EDB files to PDF file format.

General Settings

  • Naming Convention: While converting EDB files to PDF file format, you can select the naming convention for the resulting converted files like subject, Subject + Date, etc.
  • Delimiter for Special Character: Select Underscore, Space, Hyphen as special characters as needed.
  • Date Filter Option: Date filter option can be applied for the range based conversion of EDB files to PDF.
  • Categories: This option provides the user to export specific component of the EDB file such as mails, contacts, calendars, etc.

Also, you can Include Internet Message Header by clicking on Checkbox.

Once the settings have been made, click on the "save" button.

On the Page layout menu, different options are available:

  • Margin: This feature allows user to set the PDF Page Margin (Top, Left, Bottom, Right) which can be of minimum 2.0 mm to maximum 10.0 mm
  • Paper Layout: It allows users to specify Paper Layout such as Paper orientation in Landscape or Portrait & Page Size as Letter A4 & A3

Under the Attachments, following options are available:

  • Attachment on Pin: Add Attachments in PDF as Pin.
  • Append Attachment: Convert attachments as PDF page and append at the end of the mail.
  • Save Attachment: Save attachments in a folder in its original file format

Under the Bates Number, following options are available:

  • Bates Number Format: This feature allows users to specify the Bates Series for file in PDF according to the Starting Number, Position.
  • Date Stamp: This feature allows users to specify the Date in PDF according to the position.

Click on Browse to select a destination location for the resultant PDF file.

Maintain the folder hierarchy by ticking the option & select other options as needed.

Click on Export

Navigate to the destination location to verify the exported PDF file.

Export File as PST Format

After clicking the "Export button" the software will display various file formats. Select "PST."

Click on Adv Settings to apply filters in order to convert EDB files to PST file format.

  • PST Split Option: Users can split the PST files upto 200 GB using this option.
  • Date Filter Option: Date filter option can be applied for the range based conversion of EDB files to PST.
  • Categories: This option provides the user to export specific component of the EDB file such as mails, contacts, calendars, etc.

Once the settings have been made, click on the "save" button.

STEP 11

Tick the option Maintain Folder Hierarchy and then click on Export to Print with your connected printer.

Now, if users need to save the generated Export report after conversion to PDF, PST, MSG, & EML formats, click on Save. Users must note, that the software do not create report in case of Print.

Hit Save to save the file to the desired location.
