Download & Install the software to convert the DXL file into PST/PDF/MSG file format. Here is the step by step guide to convert the following DXL files into Outlook PST/MSG/PDF with the help of this Software.
Launch SysTools DXL Converter - Run the software and click on “Add File” button to select the single DXL file or folder that consists of multiple DXL files.
Click on “File” radio button to add single DXL file. Click on “...” icon to browse the location of the file.
The software will scan the DXL file and notify after the successful scanning process. Click on “OK” button.
Normal Mail View: You can select this tab to get a Mail View of a particular Email data at the bottom pane.
Hex View: Users can choose hex view tab to view the hex value.
Properties and Message Header
Mime view:- You can select this option to preview the mime view.
You can Also preview the HTML, RTF, and Attachment in the software panel.
You can switch the display pane in two ways to get a better view of the email data details such as Horizontal & Vertical View. By default, the email data is displayed in Horizontal View.
Select all the emails of the DXL file to export and click on “Export” button as shown.
You can also select specific emails and export them by right click the email and click on “Export”.
Export as Outlook PST
Click on "PST" radio button to export the DXL emails to Outlook PST format.
Date Range option: You can add date range option to export particular data emails.
PST Split: You can split large exported PST file into small PST files.
Now click on "save" button to select the destination location.
Now navigate to the location where you want to save the PST file. Click on “Make New Folder” to create a new folder in the destination location. Then click on “OK” button.
Click on “Export” button to proceed. Then, export process will start and it will show the exporting folder along with number of Items and destination Path. After that, a Message prompt will be generated as shown below. Click on “OK” button.
Export Report pops up showing the details of the Exported mails along with Source File Name, Success Count, Fail Count. Click on the “Success Count” as shown below:
Now, You can see the path of the saved file. Click on the “Save” button to save the report as CSV. Provide the desired location to save the “Export Report”.
Then Browse the destination location for the Export Report and save the file as CSV file. Then click on “Save” button.

Click on “PDF” radio button to export the DXL emails to PDF file format. Click on “Advance Settings”.
General setting: This setting will allow user to set naming convention
Pay Layout: This setting will allow user to set Page Margins (Top, Left, Bottom, Right)
Paper Orientation: This feature allows a user to set Paper Orientation in Landscape & Portrait Mode.
Page Size: To set the Page size in A4, A3 & Letter format.
Include Message Header: To include the MIME content in the PDF file.
Font Family: You can select font size, font color, and font etc.
Click on “Save” button to save the PDF settings.
Attachment: This feature allows a user to find attachment.
Bates Number: Users can find bates number
Now navigate to the location where you want to save the MSG files. Click on “Make New Folder” to create a new folder in the destination location. Then click on “OK” button.

Click on the “Save” button to save the report as CSV. Provide the desired location to save the Export Report.

Export as MSG
Click on "MSG" radio button to export the DXL emails to MSG file format.
Date Filter: You can filter date of specific duration from the DXL file.
Naming Convention: It allows a user to sort the emails according to different conventions like DD-MM-YYYY, Subject, YYY-MM-DD, MM-DD-YYYY etc.
Maintain Folder Hierarchy: To maintain the original folder structure.
Now click on “Browse” button to select the destination location.
Now navigate to the location where you want to save the MSG files. Click on “Make New Folder” to create a new folder in the destination location. Then click on “OK” button.
