Steps to Download Google Vault Data

Follow step by step guide to Download emails & documents of Google Vault user using Google Vault Downloader

Pre-Requisites

Following are the Steps to Download Google Vault Data

STEP 1

Download and Launch the Google Vault Downloader on your machine

In case, tool is not activated, see how to activate the product: Activation Steps

The tool provides the help section for the details of each feature of tool. Click on the "Help" button to view this section.

STEP 2

From destination section, choose the format in which you wish to download Google Vault data. The tool provides two options in destination platform (Outlook PST or MBOX).

From the workload Section, select the Category of data items such as “Email, Documents” that you want to download from Google Vault user accounts.

Through the Date Filter section, you can provide a date-range filter for the categories. The tool will only download the data of a specific date range.

STEP 4

In the source tab, enter the details for Google Vault such as Admin Id, Application Id, and P12 file path. Google Project Settings

After that click on Validate button for the Authentication of project settings.

STEP 5

In the destination tab, browse the location where you wish to download Google vault data of user accounts. After selecting the location to save Google vault data click on Validate button for authentication.

STEP 6

Now, from User tab, choose the desired option to fetch user account into the tool for downloading their Google vault data. Following are the two options provided by the tool:

After fetching is complete, select the user whose data need to be downloaded.

You can also search for the user account using Search option, after selecting the users click on “Validate” button.

Once the Authentication is completed for the user accounts, click on Start Download button to begin the process.

During the downloading process, the tool preview the live status of download in List and Tile view.

The tool also provides the option to Stop Download process whenever needed.

STEP 9

After finishing, the tool allows to Download Report which contains the details of downloaded files, emails, and documents of each user in a single CSV file.

STEP 10

In case, if during the downloading process any item got failed or skipped to download, then after the process is finishes the tool provides option to Re-Run Donwload. Following are the two options provided by the tool to re-run downloading process:
