Guide for Outlook Conversion Tool

In this "How it Works" section, we'll see how to convert Outlook mailboxes emails to different formats like (MSG, EML, RTF, vCard, TXT & HTML) according to necessity. This process will make it easier to convert each and every item of Outlook PST mailboxes..

STEP 1

Go to Start menu » Programs » SysTools Outlook Conversion » SysTools Outlook Conversion. Software will display the following screen:

SysTools Outlook Conversion Software provides two option to convert Outlook Mailbox to MSG, EML, RTF, VCF, TXT, HTML, MHT files as follows:

  • Convert Configured Outlook Mailboxes
  • Convert Other PST File

After choosing "Convert Configured Outlook Mailboxes" Option, Now Click on Export Mailbox button as shown in this screen:

After clicking on Export Mailbox button following screen appears

Now Select the PST File that you want to convert to MSG, EML, RTF, VCF, TXT, HTML, MHT files from the available list of PST mailboxes as shown below:

Select appropriate Outlook Mailbox and view all the folders of selected mailbox on Mailbox Folders pane. Outlook Conversion software will show all the folders of Outlook Mailbox. Folders having any item such as calendars, emails, journals, contacts, deleted items etc will be marked in bold letters.

After selecting the Mailbox folders Click on "Start Conversion" button and software will ask the location to save converted PST files:

Then software will display Convert Outlook Mailbox window to select the saving file formats:

  • Save as EML formats that can be used to import Outlook emails to Outlook Express & Thunderbrid. Read more about PST to EML.
  • Save as MSG formats that can be used for forensic mail archiving ok MS Outlook email messages. Read more about PST to MSG
  • Save as vCard formats that can later be used to import Outlook contacts to Lotus Notes address book. Read more about PST to vCard.
  • Save as RTF formats that can be used to read Outlook emails in rich text formats with its formatting. Read more about PST to RTF.
  • Save as TXT format that can be used for saving Outlook emails for archival or indexing purpose. Read more about PST to TXT.
  • Save as HTML formats that can be used to read and save Outlook emails in HTML pages.
  • Save as MFT format to read & save outlook messages in Mime HTML format.

STEP 9

After Choosing any one of the above file formats to move Outlook PST archives

After converting Outlook mailbox, the software will display a message showing saving location of converted file.
